I've spent quite a while searching for a portafilter that met my needs, fit my aesthetic, and didn't cost more than it realistically should. I've purchased Chengtech/Creamore products in the past and have used them more reliably than even some other bigger brands, so when I saw that they recently released a bottomless portafilter that matched my setup, I had to jump on it.
And I'm very glad I did, because not only is it an even lay-flat bottomless portafilter which is key to my espresso prep routine, but also that the handle for the portafilter is made of a nice black powder coat style finish which feels good in the hand and provides enough grip. (Bonus, the handle is even a bit shorter than most standard portafilters, which I prefer since it keeps from being knocked into as frequently.)
If the handle wasn't good enough, the stock basket it comes with is also very high quality, and I've gotten some great shots out of it already. I have switched back to my regular basket out of preference, but it also illustrates that I had no issues with fitment or tolerance when installing other basket styles, as they all lock into the group head with the same amount of torque, and creates a good seal every time I use it.
I highly recommend this portafilter, and I hope that Creamore continues to develop and release more products with the same level of quality that I've seen so far.

This creamore portafilter is a really premium portafilter. It is a 58mm portafilter and is designed for the e61 based group heads. It locks into my e61 group head without an issue and holds a tight seal. The portafilter feels extremely premium and well built. It is an all metal constitution with a dense handle. The handle does screw off so if you want to change to a wooden one, you can. The entire portafilter weights 438.6g and is not light. It also has a flat bottom design, so you can place it on the counter or a flat surface. You do not need to have a dedicated tamping station with this.
The bottomless portafilter basket in this is extremely good. It’s actually a 2 piece design that’s been welded together. It consists of a larger hole screen with an ultra fine mesh screen. It produces very rich and fully bodied espresso with my current medium roast. The 58mm basket works with all my 58mm puck prep tools.
Overall, I am a huge fan and think this is a great value for the money. You get a premium portafilter with a premium basket.

This portafilter feels like a little sports car!
My old portafilter had a long, bulbous handle, and felt unevenly weighted. When I saw this one from Creamore, (after previously being really happy with some of their other equipment,) I just had to try it!
Needless to say, it's a great portafilter! It's dense, premium and solid. It feels truly buy it for life. And it's so compact and maneuverable at the same time. If you have a small machine or narrow counter space, this portafilter will likely be perfect for you.
The lay flat design is great too, so you no longer need a stand to properly prep your puck. This one sits flat on the counter without wobbling, which is something all portafilters should do in my opinion.
Also, I've been getting good results out of the included basket. It's a double layer mesh style high extraction basket, but is made differently than my other mesh baskets. I like this design better!
Overall, I have absolutely nothing bad to say. If you are looking for a small, but well made portafilter, I think you'll love this one.
